Sporting Club de Portugal is a football club based in Lisbon. Sporting play their football in the Primeira Liga, the top league in Portugual. The club, which was founded in 1906, wears green and white stripes as its home colours.
Sporting play their home football at the Estadio Jose Alvalade which seats 50,000 spectators.

Sporting’s all-time leading goal scorer is Fernando Peyroteo who scored 543 goals for the club, followed by Manuel Vasques with 225 and Manuel Soeiro with 208. Sporting’s highest scoring foreigner was Hector Yazalde of Argentina who scored 126 goals for the club. The player with the most appearances for Sporting Clube de Portugal is Hilario de Conceicao who made 471 appearances for the club between 1958 and 1973. 2nd on the list is Joao Azevedo with 424 appearances.
Sporting’s biggest ever win was their 21-0 victory over Mindelense in the Portuguese Cup in 1970 while their biggest league win was 14-0 against Leca in the 1941-42 season.
